filming:pilot!

When filming begun, I was already pressed for time. We had to improvise a lot from the original plan because we had less time now. I realized I made this really good and detailed plan that was going to be hard to film in so little time, so I had to adjust a few things from the original plan. First of all, my final pitch is not anything remotely close to what it was originally, because I realized doing my original plan would have been good, yet very time consuming. I explained this in previous blogs but obviously, it affects my filming as well. This impacted our time management and caused many positive benefits creativity wise. I had to think about what would be realistic to film and at the same time what would show our best effort. I like a challenge, so I did not want it to be easy, because that is boring. I also am into music, outfits, and just like having a theme and matching aesthetics. I like when there is a theme to things, it is satisfying. So after all the planning, we finally got to film. The storyboard and script help so much to put things together. Even after making the script and storyboard, I had to modify a few things. For example, the movie was supposed to be more of a Freaky Friday type vibe, but we did not want it coming off as too similar. At the end of the movie, we were going to switch outfits and aesthetics, but I realized that would take away from the originality and creativeness of the film. Me and my friend got tattoos between the script and filming process, so I was like why not use it toward the film and I will adjust my storyboard to match. Instead of having a Freaky Friday type of mood, I decided we should revolve the film around the tattoos and make them part of the storyline.
