GROUP BLOG FINAL TASK


 I am doing my project alone this time. One of the reasons I am doing the project alone is because the group I worked with the first time was not the nicest so I realized I would rather just work alone. After that, I just did not work with anyone else after. I do not really know anyone in AS level media because all of my friends are in "A." I am okay with working alone though because I am very creative. Now I get to expand my creativity and use my own ideas without anyone opposing to them. I also get to create my own work and practice thinking skills. There are actually many bright sides to working alone, because you do not have to depend on others to do the work or wait on anyone to do their part. Kids often procrastinate, so it can be easy to worry about your partners finishing the work. Another good thing about working alone is you can work when you want to. I am busy with work, sports, school, self care, and family already, so my schedule can be difficult to work around. I would not want to stress other people out with figuring out times. Yes, there is more work for me to do, but I have hope I will get it done. In conclusion, I am okay with working alone because it opens up a lot of things you could not do while working with people.

 For the last week I was sick so I was not in school. We have a group chat for our project where my group mates would tell me what was going on so I would not be completely clueless. I was not really on my phone because of how sick I was because I was like passing out and stuff so I was basically bed ridden.   While planning everything, I realized that my original idea was not realistic. I did not time everything correctly so now I was pressed for time. The original idea of having an action movie did not really appeal to me anymore because of the circumstances. Even though it sounded really fun, it would have taken a lot more work, time, and planning. This meant a new genre, luckily we researched many genres and I had a cool idea. I knew I wanted to have a theme like a decade theme, I just did not know how to make it a story. Sometimes I will have a creative block where I sit there unable to think of anything. When it finally opens up, a ton of ideas run through my head and my mind goes racing a million miles an hour. I thought maybe I could do action still, but just with three characters.  The film process was very interesting and long. It feels like a weight has been taken off my shoulders.   I had many obstacles to overcome, but always found a solution even if it took a lot of thinking and some help from my friends Jenna and Jade. The whole process of making this final task really caused me to appreciate moviemaking more. It is fun but extremely time consuming and often very stressful, especially as a beginner. I did learn a lot. I learned that no matter how hard it is, you have to persevere and keep trying to find new ways out of tough situations and things like this take hard work and dedication, yet it is worth it in the end. In this project, I perfected my filming and editing skills and also exercised my creativity. I practiced shooting from different angles and trying new things like panning the camera.
