HEY, ME AGAIN!!!

 


Hi, I am Isabel D'Onofrio. I am in a junior in high school. I have many passions including playing soccer, lacrosse and basketball. I also enjoy going to work and I love music. I work at a New Orleans themed restaurant as a hostess, but I also help buss the tables and run orders to people sometimes. One good thing about working there is it reminds me of my mom because she works in Louisiana for her job. We are busy most of the time so I always help around the restaurant. I love working because it makes me feel accomplished and it gives me a reason to get out of my house and you meet fun people while doing it. I especially love working when LSU or the Saints play during football season because the crowd is really fun. I also play lacrosse at school and on a travel team. This summer, we went to Atlanta and it was honestly the most fun trip I had ever been on. All of my friends on the team are really fun to be around and I am happy my best friend Jenna is on the team. We are a perfect match on and off the field, we even finish each others sentences. On the field we can communicate with one look at each other. We work so well together on the field because we both play the attack position where you can shoot, pass, and play minimal defense. Another one of my passions is traveling. This summer I went to Montana, Wyoming, Massachusetts, The Florida Keys, Mississippi, Georgia, and Louisiana. I made many friends in each place and had so much fun sightseeing. I have wanted to live in Massachusetts ever since I could remember. Some summers I do live there because my dad went to Boston College so we visit friends and family all around New England. This summer the trip was different because I stayed with my best friend Camille  because she has a home on Cape Cod . She is also in AICE media. There, we went to Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard, and went bridge jumping. I loved it, such a fun trip. But now I am back here focusing on school and sports.

editing but sick

 For the last week I was sick so I was not in school. We have a group chat for our project where my group mates would tell me what was going on so I would not be completely clueless. I was not really on my phone because of how sick I was because I was like passing out and stuff so I was basically bed ridden. When I finally felt a bit better I tried to do some work but then I got sick again. Now I am finally better so I am writing my blog and my group is helping me. We were learning how to edit, all watching youtube videos on how to edit but we did not know how and it was not simple at all. We also tried many different apps and finally found a good one. I am thankful I did this project with a group because I would be clueless on my own. My group helped me so much. I do not know where I would be without them and every person is very smart.   While planning everything, I realized that my original idea was not realistic. I did not time everything correctly so now I was pressed for time. The original idea of having an action movie did not really appeal to me anymore because of the circumstances. Even though it sounded really fun, it would have taken a lot more work, time, and planning. This meant a new genre, luckily we researched many genres and I had a cool idea. I knew I wanted to have a theme like a decade theme, I just did not know how to make it a story. Sometimes I will have a creative block where I sit there unable to think of anything. When it finally opens up, a ton of ideas run through my head and my mind goes racing a million miles an hour. I thought maybe I could do action still, but just with three characters. Primarily, I wanted it to be a really cool action opening if I were to do one, I did not want to have it to haphazard. film review

 The film process was very interesting and long. It feels like a weight has been taken off my shoulders.   I had many obstacles to overcome, but always found a solution even if it took a lot of thinking and some help from my friends Jenna and Jade. The whole process of making this final task really caused me to appreciate moviemaking more. It is fun but extremely time consuming and often very stressful, especially as a beginner. I did learn a lot. I learned that no matter how hard it is, you have to persevere and keep trying to find new ways out of tough situations and things like this take hard work and dedication, yet it is worth it in the end. In this project, I perfected my filming and editing skills and also exercised my creativity. I practiced shooting from different angles and trying new things like panning the camera.
